Biography


Sarah’s career has been driven by her commitment to social change and finding joy in hard work and bettering the communities around her. She has worked in non-profits throughout her career, holding roles in development, project management, communications, compliance, and marketing. Her passion for political advocacy was born at a young age, with an elementary school assignment about the laws she would change as the President of the United States.

She previously worked in communications and media relations at the American Humanist Association. Sarah managed the national organization’s advertising budget and supervised the Humanist Press, the book publishing arm of the American Humanist Association. As a project manager, she has managed the web presence of MED-Project, LLC, a medicine stewardship and disposal nonprofit. She currently serves as a Technical Project Manager at the Professional Disc Golf Association, supporting the development that engages disc golfers around the globe.

Outside work, Sarah enjoys running, a habit that started in elementary school. She has completed runDisney’s Dopey Challenge, a four-day running event (only one expression of her love for Walt Disney World). She’s also an avid board game player. Sarah grew up in rural southern Indiana before bouncing around the country in pursuit of educational goals. She now lives and works in Orlando, FL with her partner. Sarah holds a B.A. with major studies in Political Science and minor studies in Photography from Lynn University and an M.P.A. with a focus in Nonprofit Management from American University.
